Affiliate disclosure

The short version: some links here earn us a commission, you pay the same either way, nobody pays to be featured, and the Oslofjord itself is open to anyone who takes a public ferry from Aker Brygge, whether you ever book a paid cruise or not.

Which links are affiliate links

Every "Check availability" button, and every in-text link that opens a cruise listing, points to GetYourGuide or Viator and carries our partner tag. Of the eleven cruises here, seven are sold on GetYourGuide and four on Viator. If you book after clicking one, the platform pays us a share of the commission it already earns from the operator. Your price is identical to the price you would see going straight to that listing, because our cut comes out of the platform's margin and is never added to your ticket.

That is the whole of it. GetYourGuide and Viator are the only two partners on this site. There is no display advertising, no sponsored posts, no paid reviews, and no hotel or other booking links. If another network is ever added, this page and the footer disclosure will name it before the first link goes live, not after.

The part of an Oslofjord day that pays us nothing

Worth saying plainly, because for some travelers it is the better answer. Ruter, Oslo's public transport operator, runs city ferries from Aker Brygge out to Hovedøya, Lindøya and the other inner islands on an ordinary public transport ticket, and nothing about that earns us a cent. If scenery alone is what you are after and you do not need a guide, commentary or a meal on board, a public ferry gets you out on the same water for a fraction of any listing here. What the paid cruises add is a longer loop than a commuter ferry runs, a live guide or audio commentary, and on the evening formats, a shrimp buffet, a fjord-style dinner or a private boat. Where a public ferry is genuinely the better call, the guides say so.

Even within the paid cruises, we lead with what a listing actually shows rather than pushing you toward the top of the range. Only four of the eleven publish a firm price at all, and as of September 2026 they run from $46 for the short electric audio-guide loop up to $1,795 per group for the private charter. The other seven show no confirmed price until you open them, and their cards say exactly that rather than being padded with a number we could not stand behind.

What it does not change

Ratings, review counts and prices

Every rating and review count on this site is the platform's own published number at the time we checked it, read off the live listing and then confirmed a second time on an independent pass before it was printed. Nothing is averaged across platforms, rounded up or invented, and where the two checks disagreed the figure was left off the page rather than smoothed over. The ratings here run from 4.1 to 4.7, on review counts that range from 120 up to 5,881 on the most-reviewed sailing cruise.

Prices work the same way and come with a bigger caveat. What you see, where you see one, is a current from-price, the cheapest option on that listing when it was read, and only four of the eleven publish one we could verify, running from $46 to $1,795 as of September 2026. What you actually pay moves with the date, the option you pick and demand, so the live listing is always the authority. The remaining seven did not return a confirmed figure on two passes, several because the evening and dinner formats price by date rather than a flat rate, so their cards send you to the listing rather than carrying a number we could not stand behind.

If you would rather not use our links

Search the cruise on GetYourGuide or Viator directly, or find the operator's own website and book there. Each listing names the operator that runs it, and every one of these cruises can be found and booked without going through us. We would genuinely rather you got out on the water on whichever cruise suits you, or on a Ruter ferry if that is all you need. The comparisons, the cost breakdown, the FAQ and the guides work exactly as well as research whether or not you ever click a booking link.

Questions about any of this: email us. How the listings are checked in the first place is on the about page.
